The Pavao Quartet

The Pavao Quartet was formed in 1998 at the Royal Academy of Music. They had their Purcell Room début in 2003 to favourable reviews. This versatile ensemble is not only highly regarded in classical concert venues across the world but has enjoyed collaborations with rock, pop and jazz artists. They are joined by award winning pianist Alison Farr for Schumann’s E Flat Piano Quintet and Dvorak’s Piano Quintet in A Major.

The concert will last approximately one hour with no interval. Following the concert Milverton Concert Society are hosting lunch at the Victoria Rooms. Please book lunch at the same time as booking tickets.

Beethoven and Biscuits

Alison Farr is joined by pianist Robin Davis and narrator Petroc Trelawny for the first concert in the Festival series of Beethoven’s symphonies. They will be performing Beethoven’s Pastoral Symphony · no.6 . Tea will be provided in the church after the concert.

Piers Lane

The last concert of the day is given by Piers Lane, a performer whose playing “glitters with filigree charm”, according to The Times. He will be playing Brahms Sonata no.3 in F Minor and Chopin’s 24 Preludes · opus 28.
